Jon Stewart Slams Financial Analysts

TV

Four days a week on Comedy Central Jon Stewart delivers us The Daily Show. It consists of the days top news stories delivered with a series of jokes. This is followed by skits and interviews. Depending on the subject, the quality is always mixture of hit and miss. Nearly every day you will find at least 5 solid minutes of the 30 minute show that are great. However, this week Jon Stewart delivered one of the best shows I have seen in a long time. The whole show was dedicated to the theme of financial analysts like CNBC not knowing what the hell they are talking about. Love him or hate him. Whether you think The Daily Show is brilliant or a poor excuse for news you will probably find he makes a lot of great points in this episode. You can watch the whole thing above in under 20 minutes.

Lauren had taken pregnancy photos earlier last year that ended up being some of the only recorded memories Matt & Patrice had of Gabe. The doctors never learned what caused Gabes death.

Baby Miah

Yesterday my oldest stepsister Amber, who now lives in Tennessee, gave birth to her first baby. Her name is Miah Lenoir. She weighed 7lbs and measured 19-1/2”. I am told she has a lot of black hair which is covered up by her cap in this picture. This photo is from a cellphone but expect more to come later from a better digital camera.

Valentines and Stuff

It is time to catch up on the past couple busy weeks. Last weekend we decided to stay close to home. Valentine’s Day fell on a Saturday this year which meant going out to dinner at a restaurant would be crazy. We tend to be patient people but we also value our time. Waiting around for a couple hours for a table in Greenville and an over priced meal is not our first idea of fun or romantic. We decided dinner for two at home seemed more appropriate. Provided that this was a “real dinner” which meant putting aside the TV dinner trays and pizza boxes in favor of home cooking and the dining room table. Who knew you could eat at a table while at home? We only seem to do that a couple times a year so this qualified as one of those special occasions…..
